Mathematical modeling of biological systems using fluid dynamics and computational methods, airflow in the respiratory tract to quantify the uptake of gases and particles within the nasal and pulmonary airways with applications to toxicology and pharmaceutical development, effects of age/gender/race/health on nasal morphology and its impact on flow patterns to evaluate the extent of intra-subject variability.
