Research Interests:
Graph theory, especially product graphs and cycle structures; also the interconnections between mathematics and the visual arts.

Biography:
Richard Hammack earned a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also has a master's degree in computer science from VCU, and a B.F.A. in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. He teaches a wide variety of mathematics courses, including a series of math/art courses for students in VCU's School of the Arts.
